Tymer (Gatifloxacin) 0.3% Sterile Ophthalmic Solution 5 ml.
Composition: Each 1 ml contains:
- Gatifloxacin sesquihydrate 3.22 mg (equivalent to 3 mg gatifloxacin as a base).
- Preservative: Benzalkonium Chloride 0.05 mg.
- Excipients: sodium chloride – hydroxypropylmethylcellulose – HCl and/or sodium hydroxide and

- Store between 15 – 25 degrees C. Discard after 30 days of opening the bottle.

Method Of Administration Of Tymer Eye Drops
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Eye preparation is usually sterile, so ensure that the container is not damaged before use and also replace the cap after taking your dose.
- Tilt your head back a little and look up.
- pull your lower eyelid down
- With the other hand, hold the eye drop bottle upside down near to your eye. Try not to touch your eye as you do this.
- Apply enough pressure to release one drop into your eye.
- Ensure that the medication entered your eye
- Close your eye for a minute or two, and press gently on the side of your nose, this prevents the loss of your eye drops and keeps the drug where it should be.
- Doses may change from patient to patient based on your age, your medical condition and whether or not you are taking other medicines, so always follow your physician instruction
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

- Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
- Blurred vision
- Minor eye irritation, burning or stinging

Storage Conditions Of Tymer Eye Drops
- Store below 25°c
- Don’t refrigerate the unopened container
- Not to be used for more than 28 days after opening the container, unless otherwise is advised by your pharmacist.
- Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
