Differin, Adapalene 0.1% Gel, Acne Treatment, Retinoid Treatment for Face with 0.1% 0.5 oz (15 g)

Adults and children 12 years and over:

• It is used once daily
• Gently clean and dry the skin before using the product
• Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer of the product. For example, if acne is on the face, use the product on the entire face.
• Do not use it more than once a day. Ignoring the instructions and using more than once will not provide faster or better results, but may aggravate skin irritation.

Children under 12 years of age: Ask a doctor

Do not use it

• On areas of skin that have been damaged (cuts, scrapes, eczema, sunburn)
• If you are allergic to adapalene or any of the other ingredients of this product.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.

When using this product

• Minimize exposure to the sun, including light from tanning beds, and use sunblock when moving outdoors.
• Do not use wax to remove hair on the areas where the product was applied
• During the first weeks of use, your acne may appear to get worse before it gets better (this is normal). Continue using it as directed, unless you get more irritation and it becomes severe
• Irritation (redness, itching, dryness, burning) is very likely:
• During the first weeks of use
• If more than one acne medication is used at the same time
• However, the irritation will usually ease with continued use of this product
• It may take up to 3 months of use once per day
• Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mouth. If contact occurs, immediately rinse the area with plenty of water
• Wash hands after use

Stop use and consult a doctor if:

• If you become pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this product
• You have symptoms of an allergic reaction (such as itching, rash, hives, swollen lips, eyelids, shortness of breath)
• If infections flare up
• If you do not see improvement after 3 months of daily use
